AI-Powered App Helps Russians Choose the Right Used Car

A new app developed by Avtotecha uses neural networks to provide a clear, interactive report on used cars, helping buyers make smarter decisions.

A new application from Avtotecha, a project by Russian online marketplace Avito, is making it easier for Russians to evaluate used cars before buying. The platform uses a neural network and a language model called A-Vibe to conduct fast, comprehensive online vehicle history checks.

The app is especially useful for first-time car buyers who may not have experience inspecting used vehicles. But even seasoned drivers benefit from the detailed, interactive analysis. If a car has been in an accident, the app visually highlights damaged and repaired areas of the vehicle’s body, drawing data from police records, service centers, and insurance companies.

In total, the system analyzes information from over 2,000 sources. Despite the data volume, its interface makes navigation intuitive and user-friendly. Project head Dmitry Krylov says users have responded positively, increasingly relying on the service when purchasing cars from private sellers.
