Russian Telecom Operator Enables VoLTE Calls Across Asia and Australia

T2 customers can now make high-quality voice calls in several countries without using mobile data, thanks to expanded roaming agreements.
Russian mobile operator T2 (formerly Tele2) has rolled out VoLTE (Voice over LTE) support for its customers traveling in China, Vietnam, Singapore, and Australia. These calls are billed under standard roaming terms and do not count against users’ data plans.
According to the company, the feature was made possible through new agreements with local telecom partners in each of these countries. T2’s technical teams have already completed all necessary testing and configuration.
T2 also offers VoLTE roaming in the United States through its long-standing partnership with AT&T. Within Russia, the operator has fully deployed VoLTE services across all regions in its network.
