A new AI-powered assistant developed by Sechenov University aims to transform how physicians prepare for accreditation and make clinical decisions, signaling a new phase in medical education and digital healthcare in Russia.

The Sechenov University’s Methodological Center for Specialist Accreditation has launched “InfoMedica AI,” an intelligent chatbot designed to assist doctors with clinical reasoning and professional accreditation. The system acts as a personalized mentor, capable of analyzing symptoms and clinical cases in natural language and generating structured, evidence-based recommendations. 

The chatbot relies on Sechenov University’s comprehensive “Accreditation Library,” a verified database that includes clinical guidelines, medical standards, and regulatory documents. Users can input a patient’s symptoms as they would when consulting a colleague, and the AI generates a differential diagnosis, suggests diagnostic procedures, and recommends treatment steps — all supported by references to specific sources from the library. 

The pilot phase begins with cardiology, pulmonology, and urology, with plans for expansion into other medical specialties in the near future.

Improving Clinical Competence and Patient Safety

For the medical community, InfoMedica AI offers a major leap in how doctors approach continuous learning. Instead of manually searching through hundreds of documents, physicians can focus on their specific knowledge gaps and receive guided explanations in seconds. The chatbot operates as a 24/7 digital mentor, providing personalized, contextual learning that improves exam readiness and strengthens clinical reasoning.
