At the Ishim branch of Rosvodokanal Tyumen, drivers now undergo pre-trip health checks performed by a robot terminal rather than a human medic. The device measures blood pressure and body temperature and checks for alcohol in a driver’s breath. After completing the inspection, the system prints a sticker that the driver attaches to the trip authorization form.

The equipment has been installed in the pre-trip medical inspection room and has replaced a paramedic. According to Sergey Danilov, head of occupational safety, environmental protection, and emergency management at the Ishim branch, drivers quickly adapted to the new process because the system is easy to use. If the electronic doctor detects a potential problem during the check, the information is immediately sent to a responsible specialist.

No Weekends or Breaks Required

The robot terminal operates around the clock and does not require days off or lunch breaks. This is particularly useful in emergency situations when drivers are called to work on holidays or weekends. The system has also reduced the time required to complete pre-trip inspections.

In 2026, similar terminals for drivers are expected to be installed at the Yalutorovsk branch of Rosvodokanal Tyumen.

Earlier reports noted that another impartial digital monitoring system has been introduced in several Russian regions to help oversee environmental cleanliness.
