Ratko Bojovic: “Our Goal Is to Make Reliable Customs Information Accessible to Users in a Simple, Easy-to-Understand Form”

Experts from different countries will discuss pressing issues of the digital era, digital sovereignty and international cooperation in technology. Participants will be presented with solutions for building sovereign digital infrastructure and will have opportunities to meet representatives of leading IT companies.

Ahead of the forum, ClearBid Pro CEO and founder Ratko Bojovic told the online publication IT Russia how technology can make customs clearance simpler and more transparent, what the OcariniMe digital platform is, and what partners are needed to develop it.

– Having spent many years working on both sides of the customs process, first within customs administration and later in the private sector, including logistics companies, I had the opportunity to see the challenges from both sides of the counter.

I encountered problems such as limited communication, dependence on traditional ways of finding customs representatives, insufficient knowledge of customs regulations, and, in some cases, a lack of transparency that can create room for mistakes, abuse and irregularities.

This experience led me to think about how technology could make customs procedures simpler, more transparent and more secure, while at the same time reducing the opportunities for malpractice. This is how OcariniMe was created, a digital bridge connecting individuals and companies with licensed customs representatives.

Through the platform, a client can publish a customs clearance request, compare offers and select the most appropriate customs representative, or establish direct communication with a representative. Communication and document exchange take place within the platform, creating a transparent digital record of the process. The status of the customs clearance can also be followed digitally, providing the client with greater visibility throughout the process.

Another important component is our AI-powered Customs Consultant. Initially developed around the Serbian customs environment, it is based on a structured database containing customs regulations, official notices and practical customs knowledge accumulated over decades. Our goal is to make reliable customs information accessible to users in a simple and understandable way.

For me, participating in the Global Digital Forum is first and foremost an honor, but also an opportunity to meet people and organizations with whom we can build meaningful, long-term partnerships. I am particularly interested in partners who share our vision of using technology to create the next generation of digital customs infrastructure.

I see OcariniMe, with the right international partners, as a platform that can eventually connect businesses and individuals with customs representation services anywhere in the world, while providing access to relevant customs information for different markets and jurisdictions. At the same time, our ambition is to contribute to safer and more transparent customs processes by reducing the risk of malpractice, abuse and smuggling through greater process control, traceability and accountability.
