Russia Upgrades Export Services Catalog to Boost Digital Trade Infrastructure

Russia’s business landscape just got a digital boost. The Russian Export Center (REC) has rolled out an upgraded version of the Unified Services Catalog on its national platform, My Export — a centralized hub offering streamlined access to public services and business support tools.

A Smarter Way to Support Exporters

Russia’s business landscape just got a digital boost. The Russian Export Center (REC) has rolled out an upgraded version of the Unified Services Catalog on its national platform, My Export — a centralized hub offering streamlined access to public services and business support tools.

The REC’s mission is to help domestic products break into international markets. Launched just over a year ago, the Unified Catalog has quickly become a go-to resource for businesses, offering services from 115 federal and regional authorities, development institutions, and financial partners. The number of services listed has more than doubled, and the platform now has over 18,500 active users — a 30% increase.

“Exporters or aspiring exporters face four key challenges along their journey,” explains REC Director General Veronika Nikishina. “They need access to analytics for strategic decisions, business services like financing and logistics, tools to enter digital marketplaces, and finally, government support — whether in the form of subsidies or licensing assistance.”

Today, exporting is not just about selling goods — it’s about sharing ideas, lifestyles and values. We work closely with industry, regulators and trade associations to shape a strong and recognizable image for Russia’s dairy sector. And we’re already seeing strong interest from CIS nations, the Middle East and China

UX Enhancements and Smarter Filters

So what’s new in the latest update? REC attributes the platform’s rising popularity to continuous interface improvements and new features that make it easier to navigate.

Among the latest upgrades: - A homepage walkthrough video to help users understand platform features and use cases. - A redesigned filter panel with a dedicated toggle for services aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. - A new tag system below the search bar for better service discovery. - A support form embedded on every service page for faster and more responsive help.

Expanding Export Potential, One Interface at a Time

The catalog’s expansion is a meaningful step in digitizing Russia’s export infrastructure. By simplifying access to services, it lowers barriers for regional companies and makes international trade more accessible to SMEs.

The updates also have international appeal. A streamlined interface and expanded toolkit developed by Russian IT experts enhance the appeal of national digital products to global partners.

A tangible example: In June 2025, with REC’s assistance, Samara-based producer NIVA secured an export deal to supply sunflower meal to a poultry manufacturer in Saudi Arabia — valued at over 15 million rubles per month.

A Showcase for Russian-Made Goods

Russian companies are increasingly turning to global e-commerce, using national storefronts under the “Made in Russia” program. Currently, the initiative spans 44 marketplaces across eight countries, including China, Turkey, Vietnam, the UAE and Egypt.

The program gives exporters access to partner infrastructure, reducing costs and simplifying onboarding. The My Export platform recommends suitable marketplaces, while national storefronts let businesses post goods with just a few clicks. A free, voluntary certification process supports non-commodity producers, and the REC’s 'Exporter Knowledge Base' provides multimedia guidance for new users.

The effort is already yielding measurable impact. At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov reported that the country’s industrial exports are projected to reach $110 billion in 2025. Growth is coming from new markets across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
