MTS is continuing deployment of Russian-made telecommunications equipment across its network infrastructure. By early 2027, new base stations produced by IRTEYA are scheduled to be deployed in the Murmansk Region. The systems are expected to provide stable mobile connectivity for residents of several settlements in the Kola district. Additional equipment will also be installed along the Murmansk – Teriberka highway.

The next-generation stations developed by IRTEYA, which have been produced since 2026, support LTE and GSM standards, including VoLTE, and can be fully integrated into existing network infrastructure. The systems are also designed to support shared use of infrastructure by multiple telecom operators.

The modernization program in the Murmansk Region is part of MTS’s broader import-substitution strategy. Current plans call for deployment of 20,000 IRTEYA-produced base stations across Russia.
