Russia’s “Technology Bank” Is Powering a Wave of Industrial Innovation

The Moscow platform has helped local factories adopt more than 100 digital and automation solutions, linking inventors with manufacturers across the country.

Russia is turning to homegrown tech to modernize its industries — and a Moscow-based platform called “Bank of Technologies” is at the center of that push. Over the past five years, the service has helped local companies implement more than 100 domestic innovations in digital transformation, automation, and industrial safety, according to Deputy Mayor Maksim Liksutov.

The platform acts as a bridge between developers and industrial enterprises, helping factories integrate cutting-edge solutions into production.

Every Innovation Gets Tested First

The “Bank of Technologies” catalog now includes over 570 Russian-made products, ranging from robotic systems and 3D-design software to cybersecurity tools and energy protection systems. Each solution is vetted before being added and must demonstrate measurable results in real-world production.

One example: the Moscow-based engineering firm NPP Temp adopted the Russian design platform KOMPAS-3D from the company Ascon, which cut design times and improved documentation quality.

The Platform Keeps Evolving

Moscow’s Minister of Government Anatoly Garbuzov said the service continues to expand, adding tools for robotics, risk management, and data protection. The platform also helps enterprises identify the most suitable technologies for their specific needs — and offers guidance on adapting them to existing systems.

By connecting innovators with manufacturers, the “Bank of Technologies” has become a key driver of Russia’s industrial digitalization, strengthening its domestic tech ecosystem and reducing reliance on foreign solutions.
