Ten Seconds to Health: Russia Launches Unique Medical Assistant GigaDoc

Check your blood pressure, assess diabetes risk, measure cholesterol levels—all without waiting in line, in just seconds. In Vladimir’s Central Polyclinic, Sber has introduced GigaDoc, an AI-powered medical assistant. The system helps doctors while making preventive healthcare accessible to every patient. Once again, Russia demonstrates that the future of medicine is being built here and now.

Sber’s GigaDoc AI Assistant is Changing Healthcare

Vladimir region became the pilot site for introducing this unique Russian healthcare solution. The Central Polyclinic in Vladimir is now equipped with GigaDoc, an AI-driven medical assistant created by Sber. It represents the first step toward making Russia’s advanced IT solutions a mainstream tool for disease prevention and population health.

GigaDoc is a multimodal medical assistant designed to guide patients through a primary health screening in just seconds. It analyzes 12 key health indicators, including body mass index, blood pressure, type 2 diabetes risk, cholesterol levels, glycated hemoglobin, and more.

Smart Screening in 10 Seconds

The system relies on advanced technologies: computer vision, machine learning, and remote photoplethysmography, which precisely analyzes skin color changes to measure pulse, breathing, and blood oxygen levels.

“The technologies embedded in this device enable patients to complete a health scan in just ten seconds and view results on the screen before visiting a doctor. It saves time and makes the consultation more focused,” said Igor Chermoshansky, head of Sberbank’s Vladimir branch.

Contribution to National Projects

The main aim of the project is to promote preventive medicine and healthier lifestyles. GigaDoc directly supports the national project “Long and Active Life,” which emphasizes early risk detection and citizen engagement in health management.

Artificial intelligence is beginning to take a serious role in healthcare. With it, we already see applications in X-rays, mammography, and CT scans of the lungs and brain. Sber’s solutions always align with modern trends. The new system can scan patients’ faces to assess predispositions to various conditions. It has already become popular among patients at Vladimir’s Central Polyclinic

For the healthcare system, the technology helps optimize patient flows: doctors can dedicate more time to those who truly need consultations, while residents can quickly check their vital indicators without waiting.

Russian Technology in Practice

What makes the project especially valuable is that it demonstrates real-world AI implementation at the regional level. GigaDoc is not a lab prototype but a working tool available to patients. It strengthens trust in domestic IT solutions and shows that Russia can deliver technologies of global standard.

The system also has export potential. GigaDoc operates autonomously without requiring complex infrastructure, making it suitable for clinics, enterprises, and even mobile healthcare units. In December 2024, it was presented as a flexible platform ready for integration into telemedicine, insurance, and chronic disease monitoring systems.

Scaling and Future Prospects

The successful rollout in Vladimir marked the starting point for broader national deployment. Similar systems are expected to appear not only in other regional clinics but also in major healthcare centers across Russia. GigaDoc is also positioned for enterprise use, supporting regular workforce health checks, and will be integrated with telemedicine platforms to collect patient histories and provide preliminary recommendations online.

The growth prospects are strong. In 2025–2026, GigaDoc is expected to integrate with digital medical records, extending the project’s reach to more clinics.

By 2026–2027, developers plan to release an upgraded version with expanded metrics and direct integration into intelligent diagnostic systems. Eventually, Russia envisions a nationwide network of “health check points” in pharmacies, schools, and public spaces.

Between 2027–2028, the project aims to expand internationally, with exports to BRICS and CIS countries, joint medical pilots, and cross-border collaboration.

A Growth Driver for the Entire Sector

GigaDoc demonstrates how Russian IT solutions can address socially significant challenges. Its growth potential includes expanding the number of health metrics, adapting to regional needs such as climate and occupational health risks, and developing more advanced AI training models. This makes the system flexible, scalable, and export-ready.

The launch of GigaDoc is more than a local success. It illustrates how Russia is setting trends in digital health, offering effective and affordable solutions to the world.

By combining speed, convenience, and accuracy, GigaDoc is positioned to reshape approaches to prevention and diagnostics. Backed by Sber and regional authorities, the system is set to scale nationwide, while its export potential could elevate Russian medtech to international recognition.
