AI in Moscow Calculates Utility Payment Benefits
An AI-powered tool has been integrated into the Social Treasury system, which allows residents to apply for more than 100 benefits and support measures in a single click.
Moscow is continuing to expand its online Social Treasury service, a section of the city’s mos.ru portal that brings together all types of benefits and support programs, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said. Today, city residents can apply for up to 100 different subsidies with just one click.
The platform is constantly adding new features. Artificial intelligence is now being used to calculate benefits for housing and utility payments. As a result, document processing times have been reduced from two days to just one hour. Benefits are calculated based on the applicant’s individual life situation. Around 4 million Muscovites use this type of support, and the experience will be scaled to other services, the mayor said.
All Benefits in One Click
Through the platform, residents can receive online consultations with specialists on all available support measures without leaving home. Around 3,000 inquiries are processed every day.
As Sobyanin noted, the Social Treasury has been operating for just two years but has already gained strong popularity among Moscow residents. According to him, there are no comparable services anywhere else in the world. Thanks to digital technologies, application processing times have been reduced to six working days, while the delivery of payments now takes as little as two days.
