UrFU Assigns Mass Applicant Inquiries to Voice Assistant
Ural Federal University, together with VOXYS, has deployed a voice AI assistant to communicate with applicants.

The solution helps handle high volumes of inquiries during the admissions campaign and reduces the workload on admissions committee staff.
Each year, the university receives a stream of similar questions about academic programs, document submission deadlines, and admission terms. The employee's digital twin independently conducts dialogue according to predefined scenarios, clarifies details, and handles a large number of inquiries during peak periods. The solution is based on speech recognition and synthesis technologies, with scenarios adapted to the university's information base.
Going forward, the university plans to develop multilingual assistants for international applicants, students, and graduates. They will be able to provide guidance on admission, document preparation, and adaptation. By 2030, the share of international students at the university is to reach 12%.
