Yandex and Garant Bundle an AI Legal Assistant With a Legal Database Subscription
Yandex and Russia’s Garant legal reference system are expanding their partnership by introducing a combined subscription for their services. The package gives users access to the Garant-Lite module and Neyroyurist (Neurojurist), an AI-powered legal assistant from Yandex designed to handle part of the routine legal workload.
With the new subscription, materials from the Garant legal database cited by the virtual assistant become accessible even to users who have never previously worked with Garant, and no separate registration is required.
The service is expected to help users receive answers to legal questions faster, verify responses against original legal sources and, over time, speed up document preparation for companies, banks and HR departments.
Nine Areas of Law
The combined subscription unlocks the full functionality of Neyroyurist. The assistant answers legal questions and analyzes documents such as contracts, agreements and other legal paperwork. Every response includes links to materials from the Garant legal reference system.
The virtual assistant relies not only on the legal database itself but also on information uploaded by users, including documents, presentations, audio recordings and videos. Neyroyurist runs on the Alice AI LLM language model, additionally trained by legal professionals, and is designed to work across nine areas of law, including labor law, corporate law, information law, intellectual property and consumer protection.
The Service Can Be Tested in Advance
Using the assistant does not require prompt-engineering experience – users can simply ask questions in natural language. They can also rely on prebuilt commands for tasks such as searching court practice or comparing document versions. The combined subscription is priced at 5,000 rubles per month (about $67), which is relatively accessible for users who regularly need legal guidance. New customers can also take advantage of a promotional offer in which the first month costs just one ruble. The subscription includes up to 50 Neyroyurist queries per month, along with 20 free requests available to all users.
Subscribers gain several advantages. They can work with a service built on a verified legal source and directly consult documents inside the Garant system to validate the assistant’s answers. The platform combines a generative AI model with a trusted legal reference database. That directly addresses one of the biggest concerns surrounding legal AI tools: users are often reluctant to trust neural networks on sensitive legal matters, while virtual assistants themselves can still hallucinate inaccurate information.
