Irkutsk Polytechnic Teaches Students to Apply AI in Law and Creative Fields
More than 180 students at IRNITU are learning to use domestic AI tools to automate routine tasks and build digital solutions for legal practice and creative industries.

The training is delivered through the university’s “Tsifrovaya kafedra” (Digital Department) in partnership with Sber as part of the federal Priority 2030 program and the national project “Molodezh i deti” (Youth and Children). A core module is the course “LLM na primere GigaChat” (LLMs Using GigaChat as an Example), which is included in both tracks and introduces technologies capable of handling repetitive tasks typically performed by humans. Five faculty members completed the course in advance.
Students are already demonstrating practical outcomes. Law student Andrei Borona is analyzing judicial performance using clustering techniques: he collects open statistical data, uses Sber’s tools to group judges by efficiency levels and identifies the factors that influence those outcomes.
