Digital Technologies Boost Productivity at Chepetsky Mechanical Plant
The Chepetsky Mechanical Plant has increased labor productivity by 18% over the past year by expanding its use of digital technologies.

At the Chepetsky Mechanical Plant, part of Rosatom, officials held a meeting to review last year’s performance. One of the key priorities was the development of digital technologies, which played a central role in achieving the results.
The facility has implemented an end-to-end production planning system. It allows operations to adapt to different tasks while optimizing workload distribution across staff and equipment. As a result, the on-time delivery rate increased three- to fourfold, the accuracy of zirconium component deliveries reached 100%, and equipment utilization rose by 15%.
Cameras equipped with machine vision automatically monitor the quality of nuclear fuel cladding. Images are captured at a rate of 150 frames per second, enabling continuous tracking of product conditions. An electronic information center supports real-time management decisions based on automatically generated data.
The use of advanced technologies has driven an 18% increase in labor productivity.
