Linkage Digital Executive Adds Security Module and New Analytics Widgets

WestLink Group, a Skolkovo resident company, has released version 1.11.0 of its business intelligence ecosystem named "Tsifrovoy upravlenets Linkage" (Linkage Digital Executive). The update introduces a dedicated security module that logs user activity, monitors cybersecurity events, and verifies system integrity using checksums to help detect data leaks, compromised information, and unauthorized changes. It also delivers a unified widget builder, faster dashboard loading through caching, expanded access-rights management, and new funnel and bubble chart visualizations for analyzing sales, business processes, and performance relationships.

Version 1.11.0 combines business analytics with built-in security capabilities. Organizations increasingly require more than data visualization alone – they also need role-based access control, integrity verification, and the ability to operate entirely within a protected corporate environment. The platform is designed to provide more secure analytics, reduce manual reporting, and help organizations detect anomalies in sales, manufacturing, and financial operations more quickly.

The update also reflects Russia's broader software import substitution strategy. According to TAdviser, the Russian business intelligence market exceeded RUB 74 billion (approximately USD 940 million) in 2025, with domestic platforms now meeting a substantial share of demand. A key advantage of Linkage Digital Executive is that it is a locally developed platform designed for Russian IT infrastructure, reducing dependence on foreign software.

Decision Support Platform

Linkage's prospects in the domestic market are closely tied to manufacturing, retail, and financial services. These industries require platforms capable of handling large volumes of sensitive information. The product is positioned not only as a visualization tool but also as a platform for data preparation and management decision support.

Future growth is expected to come from integration with Russian ERP and CRM platforms, expanded access-control and auditing capabilities, regulatory certification, AI-powered features, and industry-specific solutions. However, claims of rapid deployment outcomes will require validation through independent implementation case studies.

In the near term, the product is likely to be promoted as part of broader Russian digital transformation projects. Its export potential is centered on CIS and Eurasian Economic Union markets. Expanding beyond those regions will require localization, partner networks, compliance with international information security standards, and proven enterprise-scale deployments. That expansion will also face intense competition in the global BI market.

Security as a Competitive Differentiator

Over the past several years, Russian BI vendors have focused on improving platform performance, security, and the usability of analytics. In 2024, Luxms BI v10 introduced major platform updates centered on accelerating server-side performance while strengthening security protections. That reflected the growing importance of reliability as a competitive differentiator. Goodt also expanded dashboard-building capabilities and rapid analytics application development tools in its Insight platform. Linkage's unified widget builder follows the same industry trend toward simplifying self-service analytics.

During 2025, WestLink continued developing Linkage's enterprise capabilities and data protection features through the Visual 1.8.0 release. The new security module therefore represents a continuation of the platform's long-term security strategy rather than a standalone enhancement. The company also outlined a broader shift from data visualization toward AI-assisted, data-driven management, with future integration of large language models.

In February 2026, the platform added Progressive Web App (PWA) support, giving users mobile access to dashboards. The latest release builds on that mobility by strengthening security, performance, and administrative capabilities.

From BI Tool to Enterprise Platform

The update illustrates how Russian BI platforms are evolving beyond software import substitution toward competing on enterprise-grade capabilities. The emphasis is on security, performance, and ease of administration rather than on adding new visualizations alone. Integrity monitoring and user activity logging are the centerpiece of the release because they are essential for organizations handling sensitive data.

According to industry forecasts, Linkage is expected to evolve over the next several years into a comprehensive data management platform with AI-powered capabilities, mobile access, and automated recommendations. Its long-term market position will depend on successful production deployments, integration with widely used Russian enterprise platforms, and its ability to support large-scale implementations.

In version 1.11.0, we continued to focus on product maturity. Earlier releases concentrated on expanding functionality. Our priority now is reliability, manageability, and system predictability. The new security module and the unified widget builder lay the foundation for the next stage in the ecosystem's development
