Rising Momentum: Russia’s AI Inference Platform Market to Surpass $190 Million in 2025

The Russian market for AI inference platforms is projected to exceed 15 billion rubles (≈ $190 million) in 2025, with annual growth rates estimated at around 20%, according to MWS Cloud, part of MTS Web Services.
Fast Deployment, Lower Costs
The steady growth of Russia’s AI inference market is driven by demand across industries. Government, fintech, telecom, retail, and e-commerce are leading adopters.
Inference—the stage where a trained AI model processes new data to generate results—requires fewer resources than model training but still demands significant compute power, especially for large neural networks. For businesses, inference platforms offer simplicity, speed, and scalability—features that make AI integration more accessible.

“Leaders in demand for inference platforms are government agencies, fintech, telecom, retail, and e-commerce,” says Dmitry Yudin, Head of AI at Cloud.ru. “For mid-sized businesses, the biggest need lies in large language models to automate support, power client-facing assistants, and generate content.”
Changing the Digital Landscape
Major organizations are expanding their machine learning model portfolios, while open-source models are gaining traction, many of which can go straight into inference without additional training.
At the same time, small and medium businesses prefer to rely on large language models (LLMs) and cloud services to automate technical support, generate marketing content, and streamline operations. Developers are working to speed up AI model training, cut costs, and design plug-and-play solutions.
Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development has even proposed experimenting with AI in government HR processes—using neural networks to screen resumes, process documents, prepare responses to citizen inquiries, and generate content.
Against this backdrop, MWS Cloud has launched Inference Valve, a platform for deploying and managing machine learning models, LLMs, and computer vision (CV) solutions. The product reduces the time needed to integrate models into business workflows and cuts operational load by up to 70% through automation.

Betting on Investment and Independence
Growing investment in AI infrastructure is reshaping Russia’s digital landscape, strengthening not just services but also technological sovereignty.
Development of inference platforms is advancing rapidly, and competitive advantage is shifting toward providers that offer complete ecosystems. If Russian digital solutions prove effective, they could eventually be exported to CIS countries and adapted to local market needs.
