Rostec to Build Unified Data Management Platform Using Russian IT Solution

United Engine Corporation, part of Rostec, has begun deploying a domestic data management platform in partnership with TData, an IT company within Rostelecom’s technology cluster.

During the pilot phase, the system processed more than 67 million rows of data. The new platform is expected to create a single, reliable source of information accessible to employees across all divisions.

Through 2026, the project will move through its core implementation stages. The platform will integrate with key corporate systems at Obyedinennaya dvigatelestroitel’naya korporatsiya (United Engine Corporation, ODK), including ERP systems, the Dispatcher industrial equipment monitoring system, inter-factory cooperation tools, CRM systems, and master data management systems.

According to the developers, the integration will centralize data and establish a unified information layer across the corporation. This is intended to support stable handling of large data volumes. The pilot phase concluded in January 2026, during which the system processed more than 67.7 million rows within a single data domain. The rollout is currently in its first implementation stage.

Enterprise-Wide Deployment Ahead

The project aligns with ODK’s long-standing strategy of digital transformation based on domestic technologies. Once the main deployment phases are completed, the platform is scheduled to enter full operation across corporate enterprises in 2027 and expand into additional business processes. Implementation is being led by ODK-Tsifrovye tekhnologii (ODK Digital Technologies), the corporation’s in-house IT unit.

TData, the platform developer, will provide a full-cycle data management solution. Experts note that the system will allow engineers, designers, and executives to base decisions on verified and secure data. The platform is designed for high availability, data security, scalability, and ease of deployment. It is also adaptable to the specific requirements of engine manufacturing processes.

Advanced Analytics and Operational Control

One of the key advantages of the platform is its ability to streamline decision-making by creating a unified data environment, reducing inefficiencies caused by fragmented systems and duplicated data. The platform is expected to serve as a foundation for advanced analytics, workload forecasting, more precise production control, and the integration of AI into industrial processes.

By consolidating the IT landscape, the platform will establish a trusted and secure data source across all business units. The importance of this shift is difficult to overstate, as data underpins decision-making in any enterprise, especially in sectors such as aerospace and energy engineering.

The corporation has previously reported measurable gains from digital tools. The Dispatcher system, for example, monitors 2,500 machines in real time across 11 facilities, delivering reductions in unplanned downtime of 10 to 30 percent in certain areas. At scale, the deployment of a unified data platform within a major industrial entity like ODK is expected to improve efficiency, resilience, and coordination across production chains in high-tech manufacturing.

This initiative represents a step toward strengthening Russia’s technological sovereignty, increasing transparency in industrial management, and laying the groundwork for broader adoption of industrial analytics and AI. The platform could become a standard tool for production management across Russian industry and a foundation for future AI-driven applications.

If the platform proves effective under the demanding conditions of engine manufacturing, it could evolve into a commercially viable product for large industrial customers both in Russia and across CIS markets.

For ODK Digital Technologies, developing a unified data platform is a long-term strategic priority. TData has the necessary expertise to adapt IT solutions to ODK’s processes, from deployment through long-term support. We see this direction as a foundation for expanding analytics tools, platform-based solutions, and the application of AI technologies across the corporation’s enterprises
