Russia Launches Online Veterinary Consultations
Tele-veterinary services are gaining traction across Moscow’s ecosystem of online platforms.

Online veterinary consultations for pets are now available in Moscow, Deputy Mayor for Social Development Anastasia Rakova said.
Pet owners can book online consultations with specialists from the city’s state-run veterinary clinics directly through the city services portal. Users can specify the reason for the visit, attach photos of their pet, or upload test results. Audio or video consultations last up to 20 minutes.
Convenience and Speed
Consultation data will be stored in the city’s veterinary information system and added to the pet’s electronic medical record.
“The new online format of interacting with a veterinarian will save pet owners the time they would otherwise spend traveling to a clinic. Through tele-veterinary services, owners can remotely receive qualified recommendations, adjust a pet’s treatment plan after an in-clinic examination, and get guidance on proper follow-up care,” Rakova said.
