Russia Makes It Easier to Start a Business Online
Entrepreneurs can now register cash registers and trademarks entirely through the state services portal.

Launching a business in Russia just got simpler. The office of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko has announced major updates to the country’s digital infrastructure for entrepreneurs. Through the Unified State Services Portal, users can now complete the entire business registration process online—including registering cash registers and trademarks.
The new features are part of the government’s digital initiative “Start Your Business Online,” designed to streamline what used to be a complex, paper-heavy process.
Fewer Barriers, More Opportunities
To register, entrepreneurs need only an enhanced qualified electronic signature, which can be issued quickly through the Goskey mobile app.
Officials say the goal is to eliminate bureaucratic obstacles and move administrative procedures into a clear, fast, and fully digital format. The expanding State Services platform continues to evolve into a flexible one-stop system that offers citizens and businesses more tools than ever to manage their affairs—without leaving home.
