Russian University Launches a Bachelor’s Program in Tech Entrepreneurship
The initiative brings AI coding tools into classrooms and connects students directly with the country’s digital innovation ecosystem.

Russia’s Sberbank and the Russian Technological University (RTU MIREA) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to train the next generation of tech leaders. The project will combine education, research, and practical innovation in one ecosystem designed to accelerate the country’s digital transformation.
A key part of the partnership is the integration of GitVerse — an AI-powered coding and collaboration platform — into both academic and research activities. The system will help students and scientists develop projects in artificial intelligence and digital technologies. In addition, the program will host workshops on large language models such as GigaChat, Sber’s domestic AI chatbot, to help students build essential digital skills for the future economy.
Building the Talent Pipeline for Russia’s Digital Future
RTU Rector Stanislav Kudzh emphasized that, with Sber’s advanced technologies, the university is creating an environment where any student project can evolve into a real, market-ready product.
Herman Bark, head of Sberbank’s Moscow branch, added that the initiative establishes a technological and career ecosystem that immerses students in real-world challenges from the very start of their education — giving them a direct path into one of Russia’s most innovative industries.
This collaboration reflects a broader trend in Russian higher education: universities are no longer just teaching technology — they’re turning it into a launchpad for entrepreneurship and applied innovation.
