Russia to Train Citizens on How to Talk to AI
The Moscow Exchange says financial literacy now includes teaching people how to phrase prompts for AI assistants like FinGPT — a step it sees as critical for accurate reports and smarter budgeting.

At the Finopolis-2025 forum, Igor Alutin, senior managing director of the Moscow Exchange, said the exchange plans to teach users how to correctly formulate queries for FinGPT, its financial AI assistant. The goal is to ensure that reports and budgets generated by the system are both accurate and useful.
Alutin noted that many people still struggle to ask AI clear questions, which directly affects the quality of its answers. He called this one of the key problems of the current stage of adoption, adding that the next challenge is learning 'how to negotiate with AI without unnecessary smart words.'
Building AI Literacy
In the past, the Moscow Exchange focused on promoting financial literacy. Now, it aims to expand that mission into AI literacy — showing citizens how to make the most of emerging tools.
FinGPT itself is trained on market data and designed to guide users through investments, banking products, and personal finance. It can help craft strategies and suggest instruments tailored to individual needs.
The message from Moscow’s financial hub is clear: as AI moves deeper into everyday finance, knowing how to talk to machines is becoming as important as knowing how to balance a budget.
