Russian University to Train Professors in AI Skills
St. Petersburg ITMO University and Alfa-Bank have designed a professional development program that will prepare faculty members to integrate artificial intelligence into higher education.

The initiative will teach university professors how to use AI in the classroom, build educational products with neural networks, and train students to apply advanced digital tools. The curriculum spans topics from AI ethics to hands-on applications.
The program offers three tracks: a basic introduction to AI capabilities, an intermediate focus on AI technologies and their use cases, and an advanced level on teaching AI in universities.
Running from October through December, the course will conclude in St. Petersburg with project defenses. Successful participants will receive official certification of advanced training.
