Russian Users of MAX Get an AI Assistant
A new neural network–powered assistant is coming to Russia’s national messenger MAX, with features ranging from image generation to contextual reasoning. Telegram will get it next.

The virtual text and voice assistant Alice is now available in the Russian messenger MAX, and starting September 24 it will also be integrated into Telegram.
The service runs on YandexGPT 5 Pro, a model comparable to global leaders like ChatGPT‑4o and DeepSeek. Through its collaboration with Alice, the messengers will be able to provide users with answers to study- and work-related questions, as well as help with personal tasks.
Alice can generate images, analyze visuals, and summarize texts. It also supports a reasoning mode that takes dialogue context into account, along with an option to clear the conversation on request.
The neural network will be free to use. Today, more than 43 million people already interact with Alice, while the number of registered accounts in MAX has recently surpassed 35 million.
