MedTochka Adds Online Doctor Consultations to Mobile App
Users must verify their identity through Gosuslugi to access the service.

The MedTochka mobile app now allows users to launch online consultations with doctors. To use the feature, patients must complete identity verification through Gosuslugi, Russia’s state digital services portal.
During online appointments, patients can obtain and extend sick-leave certificates, receive medical prescriptions, and request adjustments to existing treatment plans. Remote consultations authorized through ESIA, Russia’s unified digital identification system, also allow doctors to issue medication prescriptions and provide clinic-stamped electronic documents that can be used for tax deductions. The company noted that online medical conclusions are available only during follow-up consultations. Initial appointments must still take place in person.
If necessary, patients can also grant doctors access to their electronic medical records so specialists can add notes and updates. Users can later replay consultations, with recordings stored in their personal accounts.
