Repair Times Cut by 25% as Atsis Technology Moves Service Operations to Russian Software

Service operator Atsis Technology, which maintains gas stations across Russia, and First Bit, a business solutions integrator represented by its Sportivnaya office, have moved all repair and maintenance management to a software system independent of foreign vendors.

The companies adapted the Russian digital solution 1C:TOIR (Equipment Maintenance and Repair Management, Corporate Edition) to meet the customer’s needs. The results came quickly: service times at gas stations fell by 25%.

Transparent Management Takes Priority

Atsis Technology is responsible for maintaining gas stations and keeping their equipment running reliably, including fuel dispensers, submersible pumps, plastic piping and station control systems.

Previously, the company used a foreign enterprise asset management (EAM) system to organize repairs and maintenance. Over time, however, problems began to emerge. The cost of ownership and further development increased, the company became dependent on a foreign software vendor, customer support became limited, and system changes and customizations took a long time. Some key processes, including repair cost estimates, performance analytics and parts of the planning process, were tracked in Microsoft Excel. This increased the workload, reduced transparency and raised the risk of errors.

The company was already using 1C:Accounting for Business and 1C:Payroll and HR Management, making it possible to move toward a unified digital environment.

NFC Tags Track Field Service Work

According to the customer, the goal was not simply to replace the existing system, but to improve control over work processes and reduce dependence on foreign software. Several needs had to be addressed: replacing the foreign EAM platform with the vendor-independent Russian solution 1C:TOIR, Equipment Maintenance and Repair Management, Corporate Edition 3.0, while preserving and further developing the best practices used to service gas stations. Rather than simply installing the new software, IT specialists adapted it to support a geographically distributed network of gas stations and manage service operations nationwide.

Particular attention went to developing a mechanism for calculating service costs. The requirements were defined from scratch, and the system was configured to account for warranties, labor costs, travel distance and conditions, crew composition and size, and many other factors.

The digital system also introduced granular access controls and clearly defined areas of responsibility, down to individual stages within a single document. This strengthened work discipline and improved operational oversight. Engineers received an Android-based mobile client with near-field communication (NFC) support for fieldwork. The system now automatically records when employees arrive at a station and complete a job, opens the required documents and tracks actual labor hours.

Faster Service Requests, Less Equipment Downtime

Following a transition period, Atsis Technology moved all its operations to the Russian 1C:TOIR Equipment Maintenance and Repair Management, Corporate Edition system. All data on facilities, repair and maintenance requests, and technical standards were migrated to the new platform. Integration with the 1C:Accounting, Corporate Edition system also provides up-to-date information on inventory levels, materials and expenses.

The economic benefits of switching to the Russian system became apparent quickly. During its first months of operation, from August through December 2025, request processing accelerated by 45%, job completion times fell by 25%, and equipment downtime dropped by 18%.

The project moved the company away from fragmented, partly manual service management to a unified digital model. It reduced dependence on foreign IT products, improved staff efficiency and raised the quality of gas station maintenance. Company representatives say the team created a single digital management system independent of foreign vendors, covering the entire process, from recording a defect to closing out the repair report and entering costs into the accounting system.

Experts say the adoption of 1C:TOIR Equipment Maintenance and Repair Management, Corporate Edition by a major service operator demonstrates demand for Russian software in the enterprise market and its ability to replace foreign digital products. Implementing the new system also creates an opportunity to redesign or automate workflows by bringing service requests, fieldwork records, technical standards, costs and reporting together on one platform.

For gas station owners, the most important aspects of service are response time and predictability. That is why we viewed the move to 1C:TOIR not as a forced software replacement, but as a restructuring of our entire service model. Today, every engineer’s site visit is confirmed by a tag on the equipment, service costs are calculated using consistent, transparent rules, and the service request, estimate, work report and expenses are all linked in one system. We can bring a new station online in four to six hours, including data preparation, and add a new region to the system in less than an hour, while maintaining the same quality standards for all our customers
