Russia to Launch Digital Platform With Data on Mineral Resources
The Platform Will Use Dozens of AI Agents to Analyze the Data.
A new digital platform for collecting data on mineral resources is expected to launch in Russia by 2027. Its key feature will be 30 AI agents responsible for processing the information. The platform is designed to speed up the extraction of underground resources.
VK Tech will develop and integrate the platform. The first stage will be a pilot project on the continental shelf, where the most comprehensive geological data has already been digitized. The developers will use data from the Federal State Information System “Yediny fond geologicheskoy informatsii o nedrakh” (Unified Fund of Geological Information on Mineral Resources) as the platform’s foundation. The system will supplement that data and bring it into a unified machine-readable format. The project also calls for AI-powered analytical tools and a shared environment for government and corporate geological models.
