Russian Company Digitizes Rail Freight Operations
A new platform automates booking, routing and tracking, reducing processing time and improving transparency for logistics clients.

Russian IT company Andagar has digitized rail freight operations for a major logistics operator, automating the booking process and creating a unified logistics management platform.
The developers used the Russian operating system Astra Linux server. The system enables round-the-clock management of railcar and container booking, route planning based on capacity and constraints, and real-time cargo tracking. The platform automatically generates transport documents and handles financial settlements with carriers and clients. It is also integrated with multiple external APIs of transport operators.
More Efficient and Transparent
Earlier, a remote switching control system was launched at the Kachkanar mining and processing plant, centralizing operations through an electronic axle counting system. Where switches were previously operated manually, the system now detects track occupancy and notifies central dispatch of train movements.
