T-Bank Is Set to Add Cryptocurrency Trading to Its App by Year-End
The bank plans to introduce cryptocurrency buying and selling once Russia's cryptocurrency legislation takes effect, Executive Director Vyacheslav Tsyganov said at the Bank of Russia's Financial Congress.
"T-Bank plans to become the first digital custodian and bring cryptocurrency purchasing, trading, and analytics to its mobile app before the end of the year," Tsyganov said.
According to Tsyganov, the new feature is expected to provide customers with a regulated alternative to gray-market crypto services. The bank aims to make cryptoassets as easy to use as its other financial products: customers will be able to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, view their holdings, and access market analytics directly within the app's familiar interface. He added that the reliability and service standards will match those already offered across the bank's existing products.
