One of the World’s Leading Helicopter Manufacturers Moves to a Unified Digital Ecosystem

Russian holding 'Russian Helicopters,' part of the Rostec State Corporation, has completed the rollout of its new enterprise-wide digital platform, 1C:ITILIUM. The system, designed entirely with Russian software, replaces foreign IT products and now serves 40,000 employees and more than 1,000 internal services.

All Services in One System

1C:ITILIUM is the first large-scale platform of its kind in Russia’s industrial sector, built exclusively on domestic IT solutions. The platform consolidates all internal services: processing tickets, handling incidents, managing access requests, and supporting a centralized catalog of corporate services.

Thanks to the unified approach, Russian Helicopters’ enterprises now operate under common service support standards, allowing departments to work more efficiently while making processes more transparent and controllable.

Processing 25,000 Requests Per Month

According to the company, the platform covers the entire holding, centralizing IT service management and improving cybersecurity. Early results are significant: the system processes around 25,000 requests each month. Manual operations in the contact center have decreased by 25%, while reporting speed has increased by 30%.

The platform is also integrated with HR systems: when an employee is transferred or takes leave, the system automatically generates requests, minimizing errors and streamlining workflow.

Special attention was given to the principles of digitalization and import substitution—the entire architecture is built exclusively on domestic technologies. This approach guarantees stable operations, regulatory compliance, and the creation of a fully independent digital environment free from external dependencies

Why It Matters

The move to 1C:ITILIUM came after the previous foreign-developed system proved unable to manage the complexity and scale of the holding’s business processes. Following Russia’s push for technological sovereignty, Russian Helicopters held an open competition, which 1C:ITILIUM won for its scalability, security, and independence.

Initially a tool for IT service management, 1C:ITILIUM has evolved into a universal corporate services platform, now used across the company for everything from administrative tasks to HR interactions.

This transition matters beyond Russian Helicopters. By relying entirely on Russian software, the project reduces dependence on imported digital products and enhances technological sovereignty. It also creates a model for implementing Russian ERP solutions in other state corporations and sensitive industries, ensuring data protection and operational stability.

A Strategic Platform for Digitalization

The rollout of 1C:ITILIUM is part of a larger digital transformation strategy. In recent years, Russian Helicopters has introduced a modern IT infrastructure at its R&D complex (over 43,000 m²), deployed ERP systems to manage production planning across all processes, and implemented SCADA systems in 15 enterprises for real-time monitoring of equipment loads.

Moving to a fully domestic digital ecosystem is a natural continuation of these efforts.
