Rostec Unveils Civilian Drones for Border Security, Cargo Delivery, and Rescue Operations
At the international economic forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” state technology corporation Rostec showcased three new multipurpose civilian drones. The Fellow, Lightning P, and Delta Turbo platforms are designed for terrain monitoring, cargo delivery, and infrastructure security missions.
Particular attention was drawn to the compact short-range Fellow drone, which has a flight range of up to 30 kilometers.
In addition to the drones, the company demonstrated the Bekas drone-detection system. According to Rostec, the platform can detect virtually any small unmanned aerial vehicle with high efficiency.
Rostec representatives said the company’s drone platforms match foreign competitors in functionality while offering stronger protection against unauthorized access and easier maintenance. All of the systems presented at the forum have undergone testing in multiple operating conditions and confirmed their stated specifications. The forum is taking place in Kazan from May 12 through May 17.
