Russia’s Mobile Carriers to Route Service Notifications Through MAX Messenger
The move follows cooperation agreements signed between the country’s largest telecom operators and the developers of the national messaging platform.
Russia’s four largest mobile carriers have signed partnership agreements with the developers of the MAX national messenger platform. The deals envision using the service to deliver authentication codes, transactional alerts, and other service notifications to mobile subscribers.
According to VK representatives, the new platform is designed to streamline the handling of service messages. Notifications will be automatically sorted into two protected folders: “Confirmation Codes” and “Useful Notifications.”
The system will also route especially sensitive alerts only to trusted devices designated by users themselves. VK said the technology was tested jointly with the Ministry of Digital Development and already serves as the core authentication mechanism for Russia’s Gosuslugi public services app.
The new notification-delivery system will operate within existing agreements between mobile carriers and their business clients. All technical setup will be handled by telecom operators, with no additional actions required from end users.
