Teplotekhnika Launches B2B Platform for Engineering Systems Market

Teplotekhnika has launched a B2B platform, tt46.ru, for ordering engineering and climate equipment, offering more than 15,000 products. Digital solutions like this are rapidly expanding and beginning to reshape industry-specific markets.

Digital tools have become a baseline requirement across industries. B2B platforms are no longer limited to large federal retail networks. Regional businesses are adopting them to improve supply chain transparency and efficiency, cut costs, and deliver a better customer experience.

The Kursk-based supplier of engineering and climate equipment, Teplotekhnika, has rolled out a B2B platform that lets users order equipment and components for engineering systems through a single digital portal.

The updated platform, tt46.ru, lists more than 15,000 products designed to meet the needs of both individual buyers and large wholesale customers. The catalog includes standard plumbing and household equipment, water supply and drainage systems, gas boiler equipment, water heaters, heating radiators, sauna stoves and chimneys, as well as measurement and control devices. A dedicated section features products adapted to Russia’s climate conditions.

The new platform significantly reduces the time required to search for products and place orders by automating key processes.

A Push Toward Digitalization

Russia now has a well-established market for electronic B2B platforms supporting corporate procurement. While digital transformation arrived later in this segment than in B2C, it has become a global trend. Industry suppliers are building their own digital sales channels to stay competitive.

For example, the Russian IT company B2B-Center is developing an electronic platform for corporate procurement and sales using AI, supporting both commercial tenders and public procurement. The company operates a cloud-based suite of services that enables end-to-end procurement workflows. It also offers a joint product with the ETS exchange in Kazakhstan.

The trading and manufacturing holding Ruskliamat is building large-scale production and logistics ecosystems, including its own technopark and a federal distribution center.

Demand for electronic platforms that connect suppliers and dealers continues to grow in Russia, alongside demand for automated equipment configuration systems. Businesses, from regional distributors to full-scale industrial clusters, are moving toward digital services and integrating their platforms with logistics and warehouse systems. Over time, Russia’s e-commerce infrastructure could connect with international industry marketplaces, including those in CIS countries.

B2B Solutions Gain Momentum

Digital B2B solutions have been expanding in Russia for years and are steadily moving into specialized industry segments.

For instance, the heating equipment market is shifting toward digital catalogs. One example is Doctor Boiler, a service that enables users to order high-quality components for heating boilers from global manufacturers around the clock.

Market participants are forming production clusters and transitioning to digital platforms for working with suppliers and dealers.

Moving Away from Traditional Distribution Networks

These platforms could become the foundation for new industry-specific B2B marketplaces and their integration with construction BIM systems. That shift would fundamentally change how procurement processes are managed.

Construction companies are increasingly sourcing materials through digital platforms, moving away from traditional distributor networks. The launch of B2B platforms in the engineering systems segment is one example of how industrial distribution and construction supply chains are being digitized.

Digital platforms, including procurement platforms, help companies improve efficiency by reducing transaction costs. Procurement platforms shorten delivery times, increase inventory turnover, and lower purchasing budgets. By optimizing business processes, they also help companies address workforce challenges by freeing up resources through automation and redirecting them to more complex, strategic tasks
