Renovated National Library With AI-Powered Service Opens in Yakutia
Ahead of Statehood Day, Yakutia opened the renovated floors of the National Library's main building, and via video link launched the repaired libraries in Vilyuysk and the village of Yakokit.
The renovation was carried out under the regional project Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure, part of the national Family project. The third and fourth floors of the National Library now house a language and ethnography space, the Thinker reading hall, a coworking area, and a business literature hall. Particular emphasis was placed on digitalization: participants were presented with the BilII.School service — a neural library with artificial intelligence that provides instant intelligent search across the institution's collections.
In 2026, the republic plans to modernize 10 libraries.
