After two days of competition, the Uray-based team Cyberia claimed victory. The tournament has become an annual event and continues to draw participants from neighboring towns. Organizers report growing interest in esports across the region and plan to expand infrastructure, including upgrades to computer equipment and improvements to live streaming quality.

Esports is gaining momentum in Uray, where around 800 people are now involved, though only about ten compete at a professional level and represent the city in regional tournaments. Events like this help identify promising players and give them an opportunity to build competitive experience.

“Such tournaments help identify talented players, give them a chance to prove themselves and gain competitive experience,” the organizers said.

Esports in Ugra is gradually evolving from a hobby into a recognized part of the region’s sporting landscape.
