Kirov Region to Expand AI Use Across Public Service Centers
Public service centers in Russia's Kirov Region plan to introduce an AI chatbot, a voice AI operator for their call center, and AI-powered tools to assist frontline staff in 2026.

The plans were announced by Nikolai Nagayev, Director of the Kirov Region's Multifunctional Center (MFC) network, during a meeting of the Regulations Committee of the Kirov Region Legislative Assembly. A pilot chatbot on the MFC website will answer routine questions from visitors and help them track the status of submitted applications. The region also plans to introduce artificial intelligence into its telephone support services.
AI technologies are already being used within the MFC network. According to Nagayev, a chatbot designed for front-desk staff is helping specialists quickly identify the most appropriate responses to citizens' inquiries in real time.
