More than 2,000 hospitals and clinics across Russia have connected to MosMedII (Moscow Medical AI), Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said. According to Sobyanin, the platform is now used on a regular basis in 75 regions.

MosMedII provides access to 18 AI-powered diagnostic services. The algorithms analyze fluorography, mammography, brain CT scans, chest CT scans, and chest X-rays. They identify and highlight potentially significant abnormalities on medical images while also performing the necessary measurements. Sobyanin emphasized that the AI tools are designed to assist physicians rather than replace them by helping detect diseases at earlier stages. In Moscow, the algorithms can simultaneously identify up to 14 different pathologies from a single medical image.

The MosMedII platform was established in 2024 following an instruction from Russian President Vladimir Putin. One of its primary objectives is to support the deployment of digital healthcare services across Russia's regions.
