Under the agreement, the two sides will work together to build the country's first nuclear medicine center.

The planned facility will include a radiopharmaceutical production unit with its own cyclotron complex, a molecular imaging department equipped with positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scanners, a radionuclide therapy department, and other specialized medical facilities.

The project is expected to improve access to advanced medical care in Egypt while strengthening Russia's position as one of the world's leading exporters of high technology.

"Signing this agreement with the Arab Republic of Egypt marks an important step in expanding international cooperation in healthcare," said Ilya Vergizayev, CEO of Rosatom Construction Technologies. "The creation of a modern medical center will not only introduce advanced nuclear medicine technologies but also provide a strong boost to the development of this field in the country."
