Russia Launches AI-Driven Platform to Guide Non-Commodity Export Strategy

A new digital service called 'Export Niches' helps Russian companies identify market opportunities abroad using real-time economic and statistical data.
The Russian Export Center has unveiled a new online tool—Export Niches—now live on the government-run 'My Export' digital platform. The system is designed to help domestic businesses explore foreign markets, forecast demand, and build effective export strategies for non-commodity goods.
The platform delivers granular analytics, including short-term forecasts of supply volumes in both monetary and physical terms, along with detailed information about key competitors and their market shares. Developers say that all recommendations are grounded in robust statistical and economic datasets, improving the precision of decision-making.
Currently, the platform covers products with an estimated combined export potential of over $40 billion. Leading sectors include metallurgy, chemicals, and mechanical engineering. Top target markets are located in the CIS, the Middle East, and East Asia.
Export Niches adds to a growing portfolio of digital tools intended to modernize and expand Russia’s global trade footprint.
