In Russia’s Ural region, a smart chatbot integrated into a popular messaging platform is transforming how residents and companies report their utility usage. With the tool, users can submit their electricity meter readings in just a few seconds.

To use the service, customers simply enter their account number and attach a photo of the meter. The AI system reads the numbers from the image, converts them into data, and prompts the user to confirm the result. Once verified, the system sends the information directly to the local grid operator.
