Russian Companies Get Instant DDoS Protection

Cybersecurity firm Solar rolls out a cloud-based emergency response service that slashes mitigation time from minutes to seconds.

A Russian cybersecurity group, Solar, has launched Cloud Signaling, a cloud service designed to shield organizations from crippling DDoS attacks in near real time. The platform is built for companies that already rely on in-house defenses but need faster response times. Instead of the typical five-minute delay, Solar’s system kicks in within five seconds, minimizing downtime and financial losses.

According to the company, every connected organization experiences an average of 130 attacks a year. Cloud Signaling acts as an intelligent bridge between a client’s security hardware and Solar’s backbone traffic-filtering centers. The moment local defenses detect abnormal traffic levels, a signal is transmitted via secure IP VPN channels to the cloud. Preconfigured filtering is then activated, sending clean traffic back into the client’s infrastructure almost instantly.

The service is aimed at banks, data centers, e-commerce platforms, and major online retailers—sectors where seconds of downtime can translate into serious financial damage.
