Russia Launches Digital Assistant to Enroll Kids in Activities

A new chatbot named 'Edosha' will soon help Russian parents sign their children up for after-school programs. The service aims to simplify enrollment and cut paperwork through integration with state digital platforms.
Russia has developed a new digital assistant called 'Edosha,' designed to make it easier for families to choose extracurricular clubs and classes for children. The bot will be available on the regional 'Navigator of Additional Education' platform.
The service allows parents to select specific groups or educational programs and track the status of their application in a personal account. Submitting documents is streamlined: parents simply choose a group, click 'Enroll' on the program card, or upload their child’s data through integration with the state services portal Gosuslugi.
One of the platform’s standout features is the ability to pay for programs using a special certificate available to children aged 5 to 17. When parents choose a program that accepts the certificate, the payment process is handled automatically. The cost of classes is fully or partially covered by municipal funds. Parents can monitor their application’s status in the 'Applications' section.
Russian families are increasingly using domestic digital platforms that simplify everyday life and ease the burden on government agencies. Today, residents can apply for benefits, order services, or get consultations entirely online. All required documents are already stored in the Gosuslugi portal, eliminating the need to wait in lines or collect extra paperwork.
