Russian E-Commerce Giant Wildberries Starts Selling Apartments

One of Russia’s biggest online marketplaces has moved beyond sofas and smartphones—now it is listing new apartments for sale.

Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, has launched a real estate section where users can browse and buy apartments in newly built complexes. The first official partner is Samolet Group, a major developer that has already listed more than 14,000 units across 14 regions of the country. Each listing includes location details, construction deadlines, floor plans, square footage, and pricing.

Shoppers can find the properties in a new “New Buildings” category within the marketplace’s catalog. The platform automatically detects the user’s region but allows filters to be adjusted manually for budget, square footage, and number of rooms.

Wildberries itself does not handle the transactions; instead, it serves as an information hub connecting buyers directly with developers. Interested customers receive the contact details of the developer to finalize the purchase.

Tatiana Kim, head of the combined Wildberries & Russ company, noted that this expansion shows how quickly online retail is evolving in Russia: “Not long ago, no one imagined you could buy a sofa or a car on a marketplace. Now, that’s our digital reality. The consumer market in Russia is moving to a new level.”
