Russia Upgrades Corporate Governance Platform with AI-Powered Ecosystem

Sberbank and SberTech have unveiled a new version of their AI-integrated 'Senat' platform, streamlining corporate workflows and laying the groundwork for Russia’s digital transformation.
AI-Powered Governance for Less Routine, More Strategy
At the XIX Forum of the National Association of Corporate Secretaries (NOKS), Russia’s largest bank Sber and its tech arm SberTech showcased the revamped version of the Senat digital platform—an ecosystem designed to modernize corporate governance.
According to Armen Melkonyan, Vice President at Sberbank, the goal is simple: “We want companies to spend less time on routine and more on strategy, using technology and autonomous systems to manage their operations.”

The upgraded Senat includes automation tools for task and resolution monitoring, secure handling of confidential documents, and enhanced transparency across workflows. It now offers customizable interfaces and document templates, high-grade digital signature support, and compliance validation with corporate governance laws. It also builds a structured database and maintains a glossary of terms and abbreviations.
Built-in AI, Custom Workflows, and Legal Assurance
One of the biggest updates is Senat’s integration with GigaChat, Sber’s neural network model. The AI now performs daily tasks like document analysis, voice-to-text transcription, policy lookup, and even provides decision support.

The platform is already being used by major Russian corporations to manage boards of directors and executive bodies. Its growing adoption underscores its relevance for modern organizations—from multi-tiered conglomerates to homeowners’ associations needing digital voting tools.
Sber plans to keep expanding the platform’s features, promoting automation through RPA (robotic process automation) and paperless workflows. Senat is also expected to align with national initiatives such as the 'Data Economy' project, aimed at digitizing government systems and achieving a 100% paperless document infrastructure.

Export Potential and Strategic Impact
Senat is not just a governance tool—it’s shaping up to be a digital assistant that minimizes legal risk by flagging compliance issues and streamlining processes. Its transparency boosts investor confidence and service quality while improving corporate reputation.
The platform’s modular structure and localization support make it adaptable for diverse industries and geographies. It’s already seen as a strong candidate for export to countries like Belarus, Kazakhstan, Egypt, and Vietnam. By 2027, developers expect Senat to become a digital governance standard across Russia and allied nations.
