Russian Students Develop App for Introverts Seeking Quiet Spaces
New service aims to help users find calm places for work, study, and rest
Students at Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI are developing Tikhiy ugol (Quiet Corner), an app designed for introverts, the university’s press service said.
According to Dmitry Zubkov, a first-year student at the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering, the app will help users find quiet places for work and relaxation. Users will be able to select a location from a list and book it for a specific date and time. The choice will be guided by several criteria, including accessibility, noise level, and foot traffic. Ratings and user reviews will help finalize the decision.
Unified Digital Ecosystem
The app is currently being refined. The goal is to create a unified digital ecosystem that brings together a wide range of locations. By registering on a single platform, users will be able to book spaces even at venues that do not have their own reservation systems.
Another student team at the university is developing a mobile app called Eventra, which will combine all city events on a single interactive map.
