Russian University of Education to Introduce AI as a Standalone Discipline
Rosatom will support training educators with engineering and IT expertise

The State University of Education, which trains teachers and humanities specialists, is set to introduce artificial intelligence as part of its curriculum. The university has signed an agreement with Rosatom to support the initiative. The program includes the launch of engineering-focused teaching tracks, professional development courses, and an AI module integrated into degree programs. The university will also train tutors for remote work with international students.
A New Model of Partnership
The university and Rosatom plan to develop joint research projects. According to Rosatom, the collaboration represents a new model of industry-academia partnership, combining sector-specific expertise with fundamental pedagogical science.
Innovative digital professions are also emerging at other universities. The Higher School of Economics is training specialists in technology entrepreneurship, management, and IT project leadership.
