VTB Says AI Is to Enable a “Personal Bank” for Every Customer
Each customer could receive a fully customized financial service powered by artificial intelligence, VTB Vice President Denis Surzhko said at the Data Fusion conference.

The shift toward personalization began with basic tools such as robo-advisors, where users could set parameters to match their needs, Surzhko said. Today, those capabilities have expanded significantly.
VTB has already begun deploying AI-driven code generation, he added. Further advances in this area will inevitably lead to fully personalized services.
At the same time, he warned of potential risks: such highly customized banks could become difficult to manage from a service oversight perspective. However, he said this does not threaten the broader banking system, as banks in this model remain toolmakers rather than being controlled by the tools themselves.
