Yandex B2B Tech Brings New Private Cloud Format to Market
Yandex BareMetal Extend combines data protection with the benefits of virtualized technologies.

Solving the Core Problem
Yandex B2B Tech has offered an answer with Yandex BareMetal Extend. The company has launched the platform as a new format for enterprise customers. It provides ready-to-use infrastructure on dedicated servers without requiring companies to purchase and maintain expensive hardware. At the same time, production systems remain isolated from the physical cloud infrastructure. This gives businesses greater control over their infrastructure without sacrificing development speed and flexibility.
Yandex BareMetal Extend includes three preinstalled modules: virtualization, Kubernetes and Stackland, an application development platform. Customers can choose one based on their specific needs and deploy containerized applications or critical business systems on dedicated servers. IT teams, meanwhile, do not have to spend their time maintaining virtual infrastructure.
Ongoing Support
The virtualization solution was developed in partnership with K2 Cloud, a cloud provider with systems-integration expertise. Together with YandexCloud specialists, the company will provide technical support to customers through a single point of contact.
“K2 Cloud has extensive experience building isolated software environments for large enterprises, including compliance with information-security requirements, certifications and strict SLAs. We combined our expertise with YandexCloud technologies to create a unique solution. Customers will get ready-to-use isolated infrastructure, with virtual resources managed from a single interface for critical systems,” said Sergey Zinkevich, CEO of K2 Cloud.
Reliable Protection
The developers say the technologies used in Yandex BareMetal Extend meet the first level of personal-data protection. Information is secured at the data-center, network and service levels. The service can also be securely connected to cloud or on-premises resources through a private Cloud Interconnect connection.
For consumers, this approach can make interactions with banking apps, government platforms, medical information systems and other critical digital products more secure.
Just as importantly, the technology was developed domestically, helping strengthen the country’s independence from foreign providers of digital tools.
Consolidating Resources for Comprehensive Offerings
Yandex announced that it was creating the Yandex B2B Tech business group in 2024. It brought together technologies and tools for enterprise users, including YandexCloud and Yandex 360 products. The need to consolidate these resources stemmed from the idea that developing them together would allow Yandex B2B Tech to offer businesses of all sizes, from startups to large corporations, comprehensive solutions covering a wide range of needs. In turn, businesses would be able to adopt advanced technologies faster while reducing infrastructure and software costs.
The group subsequently continued working to create conditions that would allow companies to securely store large volumes of data. In 2026, the company continued expanding its private infrastructure business. In the spring, for example, Yandex B2B Tech launched Stackland, a platform for rapidly building applications within an organization’s private environment. The platform is aimed at enterprises that need to accelerate software development while maintaining control over their infrastructure.
The launch of Yandex BareMetal Extend shows that Russian cloud technologies continue to evolve systematically. Companies are not simply building accessible services. They are placing a strong emphasis on data security. Experts believe demand for this kind of hybrid infrastructure is likely to grow in the coming years.
