AI Now Supports Russian Young Teachers in Lesson Planning and Paperwork

Educators across Russia are getting AI-powered assistance in preparing lessons, reviewing documents, and helping students master new tech skills.
In Russia, artificial intelligence is becoming an indispensable tool for educators. At Gymnasium No. 6 in Shchyolkovo, just outside Moscow, teachers are using neural networks to streamline their work. The AI system helps with report writing, lesson preparation, and documentation review—including complex legal paperwork. It’s proving especially useful for early-career teachers who rely on it for training and lesson planning.
Students are also engaging with advanced technologies. High schoolers in grades 8 through 11 are participating in free programming courses offered by Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development. The initiative, called 'Code of the Future,' is part of a national project that teaches students Python, Java, C++, and other programming languages. Over two years, each student will complete 144 academic hours across four modules.
Starting September 1, 2025, Russian schools will add new after-school classes focused on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Aimed at students in grades 5 through 9, the curriculum includes both theory and hands-on skills development, using interactive textbooks and digital tools. To support the shift, teachers will go through accelerated training modules to prepare them for the new material.
