Researchers at South Ural State University have developed and patented what they describe as the country’s first AI-powered analytical tool designed to evaluate medical clinics. The system, called LinguaMetrics, analyses public feedback and operational indicators to help identify strengths and problem areas in healthcare institutions.

The analyser automatically collects online data about every medical facility in a selected Russian region. It evaluates public opinion on doctors’ qualifications, clinic interiors, location, service costs and other aspects of the institution’s performance.

According to Svetlana Sheremetyeva, director of the Linguo-Innovative Technologies Research and Education Centre at SUSU, all calculations are performed quickly and automatically, with results presented to users in the form of clear infographics.

Understands More Than 200,000 Words

“The service is unique because the trained AI builds an accurate picture of the situation using a specially compiled database of evaluative conversational vocabulary – more than 200,000 words,” Sheremetyeva explained.

Users can request an assessment of a specific clinic over a defined period or across its entire operating history. The developers say the tool could help government authorities better understand the state of the healthcare sector, both at a national level and within individual hospitals. It can also be useful for patients and for the management teams of medical centres.
