Atom Electric Car Set to Gain More Digital Features
The expansion is planned for this year and next year.
Russia’s Atom electric car is set to gain an expanded range of digital features, according to its developers.
By the end of this year, the car will receive a set of driver-assistance features, including automated parking, new ways to control the vehicle from a smartphone, adaptive cruise control and keyless entry. The voice assistant will also gain new capabilities.
Another 100 features are planned for 2027. They will include updates to the ADAS, multimedia, navigation, touchscreen and voice assistant, as well as Plug&Charge technology for authenticating and paying for charging when the cable is connected, and smart-home integrations. The mobile app for remotely controlling the electric car’s systems will also gain additional features.
The new digital-system capabilities will be delivered to the electric car over the air using OTA technology.
